Connections Learning Lab offers a nurturing and personalized learning environment for children aged 5-10 located in Troy, MI. We believe in tailoring education to each child’s individual needs, fostering a love of learning in a small, supportive setting.

Miss Katie has a bachelors degree in Special Education from Wayne State University. She has over 8 years of experience working in the school setting and found herself looking for an alternative teaching option in 2021. Miss Katie has a passion for helping children of all abilities meet their educational goals. She believes in empowering children to use their voice and for self-advocacy. At CLL, Miss Katie strengthens our students mathematic skills and helps them build skills for their future! She currently resides in Hazel Park with her husband Ian. They have a dog and a cat- Kaya and Sam- along with 4 chickens!
Miss Amie is a graduate of GVSU with a degree in both Elementary Education and Physical Education. She has over 10 years of experience teaching children of all abilities. With 3 energetic kiddos of her own, she knows how important it is to keep children engaged in learning and enthusiastic about knowledge! It is important to her to connect to the whole child. Miss Amie has a passion for literacy and the Science of Reading. As our literacy teacher, she empowers children to find their love of reading and learning. Miss Amie resides in Troy with her children and husband Phil, as well as their 2 adorable dogs.
Miss Allison is a dedicated and experienced educator who brings a wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm to our team! Miss Allison graduated from Miami University (Ohio) with a degree in Elementary Education. She also has a graduate degree as a Physician Assistant, specializing in pediatrics, from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. Miss Allison taught in Germany and South Korea before getting married and staying at home to raise her four daughters. She has been subbing for the past four years as both a teacher and health center nurse at Cranbrook Schools and sits on the Board of Governors for Cranbrook Schools. Miss Allison is excited to share her love of learning and excitement for discovery with the children at Connections Learning Lab and will be teaching writing to our learners!
Miss Victoria has been an educator for 8 years, graduating from Lee University in Tennessee. She has worked with students in grades k-8 and currently is a early-childhood special education teacher. Miss Victoria loves using hands-on learning with her students. She has a dog named Theo and loves spoiling her nephew!
Miss Lindsey has a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Central Michigan University, and brings hands-on experience from student teaching at Wass Elementary right here in Troy. Following her student teaching, she served as a dedicated Title One Teacher at Wass for several years, honing on skills in individualized instruction. Currently she works as a Secretary to the Assistant Principal at Smith Middle School in Troy , where she has been blessed to work at for the last 7 years. Miss Lindsey has two daughters and is a Troy resident!
